About Us

Hey! Welcome to Bon Bons!

Five years ago, we were packing baby clothes in Jason’s parents spare bedroom and hoping local parents would give them a chance. That was the whole business: a couple, a newborn baby, a spare room, and a pile of pieces they actually liked.

Now Bon Bon’s has its own shop at Yorkshire Wildlife Park, has been nominated as one of the best children’s boutiques in Doncaster two years running, and is in the middle of planning its own baby and toddler clothing brand. Same people. Bigger story.

It started small on purpose

Bon Bon’s was never meant to feel like a catalogue warehouse. We began by choosing clothes they would put on their own children: soft, well made, and priced so you did not have to save the “nice” outfit for a Christening.

That habit stuck. The shop still runs on the same idea. Parents come first. If something looks expensive but feels cheap, it does not go on the rail. If it has that little bit of luxury but would blow the monthly budget, it does not go on the rail either.

Why Doncaster parents keep coming back

The nominations did not arrive because of a fancy slogan. They arrived because mums and dads could walk in, find something that looked special, and leave without feeling stung.

Bon Bon’s handpicks baby and toddler wear that sits in that sweet spot: affordable enough for real life, smart enough for the photos, comfortable enough for the car seat, the park and the nap that never quite happens on time. You will find everyday pieces and the outfit you want when grandparents are visiting. The point is you should not have to choose between “nice” and “we can actually afford this.”

Being at Yorkshire Wildlife Park helps. Families are already out, kids are already in the mood, and a proper browse does not feel like another chore on the high street. It feels like part of the day.

An own brand is on the way

The next chapter is the one we have been working towards since that bedroom: their own Bon Bon’s baby and toddler range.

We are in the thick of planning and launching it now. That means the same eye they have always used on other labels, turned onto clothes with their name on. The aim is simple. Pieces that feel like Bon Bon’s. Soft. Considered. Kind on the purse. A bit more special than the usual supermarket rail.

We are not rushing a half-finished drop just to say they have a brand. When it lands, they want it to be something Doncaster families actually wear, wash and reach for again.

A note from Jason and Sophie

Thank you to everyone who bought from a spare room, then followed them into the shop, then kept coming back. The nominations, the park unit, and the new range only exist because parents trusted a small local business with the clothes their children live in.

Bon Bon’s is still that business. A couple who care what goes on your little one, and who cannot wait to share the new clothing range with you soon.

That is Bon Bon’s. Started in a bedroom. Grown with Doncaster families. Still putting parents first.
